I highly recommend this food dehydrator.  It is by far the best and a must have for healthy eating.  Most dehydrated foods are full of nitrates and other unsavory ingredients.  The Excalibur makes fantastic food and has a fabulous warranty.
  • Banana Chips (make sure they are very ripe - tastes like candy)
  • Apple Chips (try with cinnamon on top)
  • Fruit Leather (try using apple sauce)
  • Dog Treats (sweet potato, meat, etc)
  • Jerky (beef, venison, etc.)
  • Vegetable Spices (dry your veggies & put in a food processor)
  • Rising Bread

Amaranth & Quinoa Flat Bread & Stir Fry Wraps

Wow, I didn't know how these would turn out, but they are really good.  Great texture, they roll well, and they're yummy.

A friend said that she had a lot of trouble finding a good flat bread recipe that was gluten free, so I was surprised when these turned out so well the first try.  I guess I'm getting good at making elimination diet recipes.

Lamb Loin

This is my first time having lamb and I have to say, it's rather good.

Lamb Loin

  • Put a bit of olive oil in a bowl
  • Add sea salt and pepper to taste
  • Add some rosemary
  • Pan fry until browned on both sides

Sweet Potato Fries

These are sooo good and pretty easy.  My super fussy 3 year old even loved them.  So did my hubby.  Only the 6 year old wasn't a fan.

Here's how it's done.

Sweet Potato Fries

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F
  • Peel a big sweet potato
  • Cut into 1/2" strips
  • Separately, mix 1/4 c olive oil, 1 tsp sea salt, 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Lightly coat the sweet potatoes in the olive oil mix
  • Place sweet potatoes on a non stick cookie sheet, making sure that they are not touching
  • Cook for 15 mins, flip, cook for another 10 mins.

Zucchini Pancakes - Gluten Free, Egg Free, Dairy Free

These zucchini pancakes are so yummy, you won't even realize that you are eating something super healthy. 



Zucchini Pancakes
- yields 5 pancakes

  • 1 Zucchini, shredded
  • 1 Carrot, shredded
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1/8 - 1/4 c boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp tapioca starch
  • 2 tbsp brown rice flour
  • Olive Oil for cooking

Amaranth Pesto

Mmmm, this is quite good.  I tweaked an old recipe and I'm pretty happy with it.

Amaranth Pesto



  • Cook 1 pkg. of GoGo Quinoa's Amaranth and Rice Pasta, rinse well after cooking

Put the following ingredients in a food processor and blend & chop well

  • 80g or 2 cups packed fresh Basil
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 c hemp hearts
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp Herbamare
  • 1/4 c olive oil

Saute separately in olive oil

  • Broccoli
  • Red or White Onion
  • any other veggies

When the pasta is ready, mix pesto with pasta, then add...
