I've been doing a lot of reading about milk lately and it's rather sad what we have done to our food.  Milk used to be quite good for you.  When it is raw, it is full of nutrients and contains everything it needs to be digested by a calf and humans.  However, with pasteurization and homogenization, milk looses vital nutrients and enzymes, which we need to digest it properly.  This is why some people have become lactose intolerant.  They don't possess the enzyme necessary to digest lactose, which is available in raw milk.  I guess this explains my issue with milk.

It's sad, I was reading that if a calf is fed only pasteurized milk, it will die before it reaches maturity.  What does that say about the health benefits of milk to you and me?
